What I Need To Work On

What I need to work on is my precision. I sometimes fall a little short when it comes to doing a dance on time. Also, my expression when I test needs to be improved. My technique is not as good as I would like it to be. Technique is the main part of dance I need to work on.

African Dance & Chance Method

This week in dance we are learning how to master an African based dance routine. In African dance you mainly use your shoulders and back instead of using your arms. African dance is a very flowy type of dance that derives from the African culture. Aswell as African dance, we have had to choreograph a combination using the "Chance Method".
Chance method is where you make a combination using a series of numbers. In my chance method combination, I mainly used attitudes and soutinu tours.
This week of dance taught me how to dance freely but structured at the same time.

My Experience During Dance So Far

These first two weeks of dance I have experienced getting the hang of learning choreography fast, and just getting into the "swing" of things again. This week I have learned about time signatures and transitions to and from formations. We are currently choreographing a dance for the football game which means I am having to gain my flexibility back. This week I am experiencing getting my turns and leaps back to how they were before break.
